Trisha Blue

Trisha Blue is the daughter of Jazz pianist Bobby Blue. Growing up in New England, her house was filled with the sounds of Etta James and Sarah Vaughn. These vocalist would become Trisha's main influences later in life. She took after her Father's footsteps and started playing all the smokey jazz and blues clubs on the East coast where she was discovered by a French club owner who invited her to Paris to play in the historic West Bank. After a few years in Paris, Trisha returned to the states where producer and drummer Kevin Hupp saw her perform at New York City's famed Bitter End niteclub. Kevin thought her voice would be perfect for his new idea of twisting classic rock songs into greasy/sexy jazz flavored tunes.Collaborating with some of New Yorks finest musicians, Alex Salzman on keyboards, Kip Sophos on bass, Don Harris on trumpet and fluglehorn, and Kevin Hupp on drums, the rythm section was recorded live and the result is "Trisha Blue and the Rubber City Souls" Live from the Groove Room !. We hope you enjoy these classic songs like youv'e never heard them before !!
